Low pressure switch

Ultra Controlo describes its low pressure switch as a device for automatic monitoring and alarm triggering in medical gas pipeline systems that activates when pressure drops below the set threshold in oxygen, air, vacuum or nitrous oxide circuits.

HTM 02-01 (2026), the NHS England guidance, says plant alarm systems comprise relays and pressure switches or transducers to initiate the alarms, and that pressure sensors or transducers should be connected to the pipeline via minimum-leak devices. An area valve service unit may include provision for pressure gauges, pressure switches or transducers on separate bosses with minimum bleed points, and vacuum systems typically include pressure switches among their components. Pressure switches should be left out of the first-fix carcass pressure test, and Part B asks for low alarm condition set-points to be checked annually.

Ultra Controlo lists its low pressure switch among its vacuum units, regulators and switches, alongside a medical gas pressure switch that monitors pipeline supply pressure and triggers alarm or changeover actions.
